Resurrection Code of Guild Conduct Minimize
Resurrection, as a guild organization, is intended to be simple.  We have few rules, BUT we actively enforce the few rules we have.

You can boil it all down to 2 rules:

1.  Keep the language in guild chat channels tame.
2.  Be a good, honorable player.

Everything beyond this is a complication of the 2 main rules above.  If you would like more clarification, interpretation and complication, the more detailed expansion of the rules is provided below.

REQUIRED CONDUCT
  1. Communications and use of Chat Channels.
    1. No direct communications, private chat or public chat is allowed that uses language intended to harass, abuse or degrade another guild member or other player.
    2. General and open public chat channels should be used for discussions that are appropriate to a family setting or are appropriate for someone age 12 and older (general age guideline). Public chat channels should be restricted to language similar to that allowed in broadcast television. Discussions that involve mature topics should be moved to private chat channels. Members are required to move their discussion to a private channel if asked by an officer or another guild member.
  2. General Player Conduct.
    1. No dishonorable conduct will be tolerated. Potential violations include activities that violate the user agreement (EULA) or that is in violation of Blizzard’s rules of game play.
    2. Some dishonorable activities do not violate the EULA, but would give our guild a bad name.  This list is not exhaustive, but it is a good reference:
      1. Kill stealing or interfering maliciously with another player's combat.
      2. Interfering with other player/guild activities and events.
      3. Dishonest trade transactions.
      4. Dishonest participation in looting.
      5. Begging for money or equipment in public chat channels or sending direct messages begging higher level players.
      6. Spamming messages too often and/or to the wrong chat channels.
      7. Intentionally leaving a group in an instance without warning the others.
  3. Assistance to guild members and donations.
    1. No guild member is required to give anything to another member for free or at discount. This policy is intended to prevent members from being harassed for money, items and crafting services.
    2. Guild members are encouraged to donate, of their own free will, what they can to help build the guild community.
    3. No guild member is required to group with other guild members or assist them in leveling or completion of quests. We certainly hope that everyone in the guild will help each other in many ways, and that we assist one another in completing goals in the game, but nobody is required to do so. This policy is intended to prevent members from being harassed for power-leveling services.
  4. Guild Recruitment.
    1. Guild membership is open to all honorable players. All Officers and Luminaries have guild invite rights. There are only 2 requirements BEFORE a person may be invited to the guild:
      1. They must agree to abide by the current code of conduct.
      2. They MUST post a brief introduction and request to join on the WoW Resurrection guild message forums. For those invited in-game, they may not be promoted past the probationary Rank 6 (Initiate) without posting to the Guild forum and agreeing to this Code of Conduct.
      3. Guild members may not interfere with the operation of other respected guilds. They should not try to "steal" other guilds' members or cause problems or strife within other guilds. Recruitment must be by good example and based on the community goodwill created by our organization.
SUGGESTED CONDUCT
  1. Guild members should group with other guild members when possible. They should help other guild members get into their existing group if that is appropriate.
  2. Guild members should make it a point to support regularly scheduled guild events. They are encouraged to host events and to participate in hosted events. This is one of the most important aspects of having a successful guild -- members playing together.
  3. Guild members should be tolerant and patient of new players. Give helpful advice when you can. This creates a tremendous amount of good will in the server community.
