Resurrection Guild Mission Statement Minimize
The name Resurrection symbolizes a new and better life. The symbol for the guild is a mighty tree that surges from the darkness of the earth and reaches up to the sky. It has deep roots that come from many sources, it merges into one at the trunk where it is solid and firm, and finally shoots off in various branches seeking the light and air. The canopy of branches and leaves provides a place to seek adventure and sometimes relax in the shade.

Our goal is to create a great community and fellowship for the members of the guild AND the server community as a whole. MMORPG's are more than just video games. They are certainly a source of entertainment, adventure and escape/relaxation; however, they are also a social community of friends. With that in mind, Resurrection's mission is to provide a community framework in which to participate. We say participation because you will personally get out of the guild what you put into it.

The tradition of Resurrection is to help each other achieve our goals in the game. It is a spirit of giving, respect and adventure that transcends the guild borders. We help guild members and people outside the guild. The spirit of Resurrection historically generates great community "karma" that benefits the guild in return.

We are not an "elite only" guild. We are always open to all players who want to join our community and participate in our traditions. Real life is more important than the game at all times. We are tolerant and patient with new players and try to help them learn the game and their character. The result of this is a better guild and a better server community for all to enjoy.

Guild Management/Structure Minimize
  1. Guild Council Structure.
    1. The guild is managed by a council of equal officers. The Officers and Guild Leader are members of the guild council. WoW requires a single Guild Leader, so the Guild Leader is the chairperson of the council.
    2. All members of the council, including the GL, have 1 vote.
    3. All members of the council have all guild management game rights and abilities (as much as possible).
  2. Guild Member Structure.
    1. Ranks.
      • Guild Leader / Officer: The Guild Leader and Officers are ranks that manage the guild. They are broken up into primary areas of management responsibility. Officers select Luminaries to work in teams with them to accomplish the objectives of the guild.
Officers are in active positions associated with specific areas of guild management. They are responsible to organize their team and work with others to manage the guild.
Officers return to the Luminary or Veteran ranks during times they are not actively working on an area of guild management.
Officers have all guild management abilities in the WoW guild setup options.
      • Luminary: This rank is a symbol of loyalty and dedication to the guild. Players who are Luminaries have proven, over an extended period of time, their leadership qualities. They organize and lead groups and raids, help players in the guild with quests, help new players integrate into our community and work in Officer teams to manage guild functions.
The Luminary rank is an active position associated with a particular guild management task. Players stay in the Luminary rank while they are performing their assigned guild management task. Luminaries return to the Veteran ranks during periods they are not actively working in an officer guild management team.
Luminaries have the following abilities in the WoW guild setup options: Guild Invite, Read/Write Public Notes, and Read/Write Officer Notes.
      • Veteran: This is a rank that recognizes the hard work and dedication it takes to get a character to level 60. Players who have at least 1 level 60 character in the guild are promoted to Veteran status. These are seasoned players who can assist others that are new to the game by providing help based on their experience and knowledge.
      • Member: Members of the guild.
      • Initiate: This rank is for new members of our guild. Players stay at this rank for 1 month during which they are on probationary status. After posting at least 1 time to the guild message boards and being a member of our community for 1 month, players will be accepted as full Members of the guild.
    2. All new guild members start at the Initiate rank. After their probation is over, they can be promoted to any appropriate level based on the descriptions above.
      Exceptions:
      • Any member of the Dark Age of Camelot Resurrection guild in good standing will be immediately accepted as a full rank 4 Member (at a minimum).
    3. Guild Decisions
      • The guild council should vote on any major decisions. A simple majority decides all matters.
      • Unless not practical because of time constraints, all major decisions should be made by creating a poll in a private officers forum with a duration of 1 week.
      • In case of an emergency, a simple majority of those officers online constitutes a decision.
      • Any officer may call for a vote on a decision.
      • It is appropriate to conduct a poll in the general guild forums to find out what members of the guild think about an issue affecting the guild. The results of such polls are not binding and must be voted on by the officers.
    4. Discipline
      • Enforcement of the code of conduct is every guild member’s responsibility. Discipline actions will be taken ASAP as needed by those officers currently available online.
      • Disputes among guild members should be resolved by a "Judgment of Three." If a guild officer is contacted about a serious dispute with another member or another player, that officer calls upon 2 other officers to hear arguments from both sides. The three officers express their judgment of the situation and their recommendation for an appropriate remedy. The majority decision prevails. If a member can not abide by the ruling, they should not be a member of the guild.
      • Guild members who violate the code of conduct or who can not abide by judgments of the guild council will either be removed from the guild or placed on probation by reducing their rank to Initiate. Initiates are under a 1 month evaluation period at which time their acceptance (or return) to the guild is decided.
