Background on the Resurrection Guild Minimize

This section of the guild portal is dedicated to information about Resurrection - the growing history of the guild as well as the behavior and conduct that is expected of it's current members.

The guild was founded in the spirit of newbie-ness - the idea that a guild is there to make the game more enjoyable, not just to power-play your character to farm PvP points or XP or 1337 equipment. It's a spirit that allowed the guild to grow from a small group of players on Hib/Kay back in the DAoC days into one of the largest and most respected guilds on the server.

A small DAoC contingent is bringing that spirit onto Whisperwind, and is growing a community that is close-knit and supportive. Most people have joined the guild have commented on the spirit of the guild and just how much fun we have together.

Take a look around the site and learn about or history and our culture. If you like what you see, feel free to group with our groups or apply to join on the forum. Although not actively recruiting, we are always looking for great new people to join our family.

THE BIG PICTURE

We want to be the best guild on the Whisperwind server.  In order to achieve that, we need to understand the type of guild we are building.  Resurrection will focus time and effort on tasks that enhance our core guild culture.  We will not focus time and energy on tasks that do not enhance our mission.

Resurrection is passionate about:
A.  Having fun and relaxing.
B.  Adventuring and experiencing a broad variety of WoW content.

What Resurrection can be the best at on Whisperwind:

A.  Gathering a community of passionate, long-term but casual players who value their real life more than the game.
B.  Creating real friendships and a sense of camaraderie in a virtual gaming world.
C.  Creating a team-oriented social network to experience a broad variety of the WoW content.

What Resurrection can NOT be the best at on Whisperwind (as a guild):
A.  Acquiring powerful items in a short period of time.
B.  Completing quests or leveling up characters in a short period of time.
C.  Attaining the highest PvP Honor Ranks (based on the existing honor system).

The key factors that make Resurrection the best guild for its members:
A.  Recruiting and retaining players that share our passions and long-term perspective.  They should be people who enjoy developing their character and playing skills.  They should also be players that can work well with others in a team.
B.  Recruiting and retaining players that are natural leaders – players who can organize people and events.
C.  Having access to a large pool of players online during our primary playing time which is 5:00pm to 1:00am (server time), and any time during the weekends.
